Beaches in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh with the biggest coastline in India which stands at 970 Kms strech exposing 8 districts to the sea has lovely beaches with in. It also has two major ports which add value to the transportation through the Sea's.

Gangavaram Beach

Gangavaram beach which is situated at 40 Kms from vizag is a natural beach. A new commercial port has commenced its operations in the that port recently and the main advantage of the port is the depth, which is more than any port in the country.

Rushikonda Beach

Rishikonda is one of the beautiful beaches in India which is unspoilt beach, washed by the sun-warmed sea, 8 km from Vizag, an ideal spot for water sports lovers, especially swimmers, water skiers, and wind surfers.

Rama Krishna Beach

The biggest beach in Vizag, Ramakrishna Beach is a very picturesque site. It presents quite a contrast with its long and calm water stretches from the busy city life. Its a comman destination for people of all kinds on the weekends. People prefer to walk along the beach in the mornings and evenings enjoying the breeze from the sea.

Bheemli Beach

Bheemi Beach or traditionally called Bheemunipatnam Beach is situated in Bheemunipatnam, with in a proximity of 25 km north of Visakhapatnam. This beautiful beach offers some outstanding views. The water at Bheemli beach is shallow in comparision with the other beaches around and therefore it is considered one of the safest beach for water lovers, especially swimmers and surfers. The drive through the beach road from Vizag to Bheemi is a pleasure.

Kakinada Beach

Located on the Kakinada to Uppada Road, this beach is about 5 km away from Kakinada town. The famous Kakinada beach is an enthralling beach with clean waters and wide shore. The slope at the beach is quite gradual. The beach also has a beautiful park which adds to its beauty

Perupalem Beach

Located quite close to Narsapur town in West Godavari district. A drive through the town of Perupalem on the State highway, one can view vast green paddy fields with lines of coconut trees in between them

Motupalle Beach

Located in the Motupalle village which is about 12 km away from Chinaganjam and 45 km from the nearest town, Ongole. This beach is different from the others as it apprears extremely eye pleasing with rows of Casuarina plantations offering scenic beauty to the beach.

Kottapatnam Beach

The Kottapatnam beach is located about 18 km from Ongole town. Qffering a clean environment along with exciting recreational activities, this beach is a must visit if one is traveling in the Costal Andhra.

Suryalanka Beach

Located at 9 km from Bapatla town, this flat beach has a gradual slope with a wide shore. It is an ideal beach for spending weekends and holidays. AP Tourism has a beach resort which offers a splendid view of the beach from the resort.

Manginapudi Beach

Also known as Machilipatnam Beach is located at Machilipatnam. This beach is famous for exotic sites, historic port city and a health resort.

Mypad Beach

Located in the Nellore district this beach is an exquisite beach with lush greenery and long stretches of silver sand. An enchanting beach that attracts tourists in a huge number.

Kalingapatnam Beach
